Will Tolbert Run for Mayor?

The Buffalo News reported on Tuesday that Bernard Tolbert was ready to announce his candidacy for Mayor of the City of Buffalo according to sources.




And although he does not deny that he is interested, we have yet to hear Mr. Tolbert say for sure that he is running.

The News article quotes “key” sources as saying that Tolbert has privately confirmed his candidacy  but that no date has  yet  been set for an official announcement.

So far Tolbert is publicly saying what he’s been saying for the last year; that he is interested, he’s making contacts and gathering all the information he can before making a final decision.

Republican Sergio R. Rodriguez recently declared his candidacy for mayor.

Mayor Brown, Armed with a with a $.1 million campaign treasury and the advantage of incumbency, is expected to make his official announcement soon.
